DAMNIT, Email me. I have so much to tell you now, I have forgotten most of it and will have to make it up.

I love these old places. They make me sad. Are they all going????

We still have these around Pensacola and I love deciphering them. I hope "The Village" doesn't disappear completely. Is there anything being done to keep the oldest structures?

I like so much the architecture of the last (photo) building!

I don't remember when Joe's Tavern was open...is that on 10th Ave. and 25th?

I like that in case the word "tavern" is a too high falutin, they offer a translation below.

Ken, these are fabulous. You really need to put together a book of all these wonderful signs.

I love all these muted worn shades of the past...it warms me to my toes! I can imagine the early days, and the tin ceilings inside, the clinking of glasses in the Tavern, yellowee light..and a good burger, too..
Nice work, Ken Mac! Ummm..makes me teary eyed...I love NY!

I've said it before I'll say it again. A book. Document everything. This is good marketable stuff, but honest and affectionate.

Interesting buildings with the old signs still on. It must make you feel that you have travelled back to another era? - Dave
