Miss Your Lips

Am I overdoing this NYC street art thing? I dunno. I guess I see it as renegade protest against the encroaching corporate control dominating seemingly every public space in the city. Washington Square Park turns over its fountain to the multimillionaire Tisch family. The Mayor ignores local zoning laws so Donald Trump can build his 28 floor tower on Varrick Street. Condo blocks and chain stores going up all over town, while small businesses close. Meanwhile, Ground Zero is still a big hole in the ground. Enjoy the art! This is one crazy corner..

You just don't see this in LA. I actually think it's a nice counterpoint to the way so much of urban life is becoming like Universal City Walk.

Love the last photo.

Crazy is right. But I actually like it — it's just so tight and packed.

Not over doing it. You are documneting the real place before it's sanitized. Your blog will serve as a historical document to the way it really was. Photograph everything and date it.

I agree with your comments, but I still can't swallow the grafitti thing. To me it is a form of urban littering of someone else's property. Just my humble opinion.

Love the street art. Please don't stop. And, it is not hyperbole to say that this corner is spectacular.

Nah, I love it!
The first one is just so cute. The second, so dynamic. And the last one so wild, exuberant. Oh wait... the second one is a detail of the third. Is the first one part of that installation too?

(I just wish you would locate your shots for the illiterates like me)

Hello ! I discover your blog from the Coyote Road's link.
You have beautiful pictures.
Here also there are places where the street art has appeared. It's not always mere to understand the message.
