Where I Wanna Be

One and a half hours from NYC, Spring Lake, New Jersey is fondly known as the "Irish Riviera."
Stately homes, lazy tree lined streets, and a non public beach (you need a monthly pass) make this a wonderful escape from Manhattan's hustle and bustle.

Good call, Ken. I like to make a quick getaway to Spring Lake in the fall. I like walking the main street downtown, with all the little mom-and-pop stores.

Wait, I thought Atlantic City was the Irish Riviera!?!?! Opps, I mean Mafia Riviera. Never mind.

Enjoy your week at the beach.

First, my apologies for a bit of cut and paste commenting. I have been doing the rounds via Bloglines and looking at all the pictures from my favourite photo blogs, but haven’t been leaving comments. Generally, I try to comment as much as I can (I know how good it is for ‘morale’ to know that someone is out there appreciating them), but after the birth of my second son, I am a bit knackered to think up something witty and insightful on the hop. Thus the resort to Control+C and Control+P!

Ooh, nice — I love the beach. But it looks so cold there! Still, it looks like a lovely place to just walk around in.

...and no wonder you would like to be here. So would I :) Love the ocean.

Wow...isn't this ironic? After openly mocking someone for hanging out in your neck of the woods in ny...you want to go to hers?!

the last thing we need here are snooty self righteous hatemongerers like you and ev grieve getting out of your "hustle and bustle" to dirty our quiet towns.

its so "cute" here in at the beach isn't it? isn't that exactly what you all mocked me for saying?

you are such a hateful hypocrite.

stay away...you chose to live in nyc...stay there.

until you and your angry lynch mob stop harassing innocent people...i will continue to call you out on your hypocrisy.
