A classic Italian bakery in Soho. The Village was once full of such establishments, but they are going going gone as with Zito's, formerly on Bleecker. Vesuvio's looks like the real deal, but the owner sold out to a cappuccino concern a while back. They wisely kept the turn of the century (the last one) storefront intact.

I love that store!! Been there for coffee once but love walking by it all the time. :-)
I've featured it in my blog a year ago, I think.

At least they did that. Here, all franchises have to look the same so everything goes.
They all have to look the same? Wow.
I think some retail bakeries and many new bakeries are also cafés, serving coffee and tea to customers who wish to consume the baked goods on the premises.
It must be interesting to visit a classic Italian bakery in Soho where we can buy Italian bread & biscuits! I would lovely do this one day!... Well, remember that the process of valentine writing paper can be really daunting for some individuals!
