Waiting for my Chinese spare ribs. I was raised in NC, where they take BBQ very seriously. But they like it with vinegar and stuff like that. Too weird. How do you take your BBQ?
Grin - that'll be off in my book, too. Being european - I like the meat to have a chance to show it's own flavor - so very little sauces for me, if you don't mind. Salt and Pepper, Peppers and Onions and some Herbs will do. Maybe the "secret" southern style Brown Sugar addition. Cheers, Klaus
I am not very bbq either. But I like the bbq ribs at the Chinese restaurant. I just never think of ordering any bbq. It is also very sweet. I do like this candid shot. A very nice scene. From the portal, my guess was that it was taken in a deli.

No sauces, but well marinated. And cooked over charcoal, not on an electric or gas grill. :)
Cooked!! And with lots of baked beans and potato salad.
This is the first time I've seen a non-Asian person cooking Chinese BBQ ribs in NYC.
Thanks folks, that was taken at my local Chinese takeout on Houston and Varrick.
BBQ is my passion!! Love it in any form and type. But most I like it under open air
I love BBQ!! Sad that there is winter now and I just can't prepare it. can't wait for summer to do it again
