Wow, when settling my father estate, I found a photo of him and three of his friends at the Village Barn, March, 1950. Further, knowing that Race matters in the US, my Dad is an African-American Man.

My father owned Dalpe Covered Wire Co. at 471 W. Broadway in 1945. He moved to Pine Bush, NY and turned our barn into restaurant in 1949. Called it Dalpe's Village Barn. I HAVE PHOTO. Always wondered why he named it Village Barn. Thanks to this website, now I know. Eileen Dalpe

Just found a picture of my mom and dad taken in the 40's,,it's still in the original folder....
wow this is a rally old photo, my father says he remember when this was an excellent place, he says it is a very familiar scene from my childhood!
