Old South Street Seaport

the old cobblestone streets...
aging storefronts on Front Street
one of New York's oldest bars on Front and Water

Aging, fading, peeling column....all surrounded by Gap, McDs, Starbucks...etc. But if you wander the backstreets a few gems remain from the old world of New York City.

This is very familiar. I stayed at the Best Western in Peck Slip last September.

Have been following your blog for some time, but see I didn't click on your "Follow me" gadget. I'm the yellow rose. On some blogs it appear with my comment and on some not (don't know how to fix it!). So please scroll down on the yellow rose till you see "link: mysteries". Click on it and it will take you to my blog. Welcome to visit any time! Happy Spring! and have a great weekend, Jeannette
PS. I love the street with the cobblestones. Reminds me of "home" (Netherlands)

I love these. Peeling paint and cobblestones chronicling the past life of a changing city. Are you putting these beauties into a published book, because you SHOULD be. :)

When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thanks!
