The Dublin House Tap Room, that is. One of the finest "old man" bars in the Upper West Side, Dublin House is homey, the drinks are strong and the barkeep friendly. This classic Irish watering hole is always a welcoming sight after taking shots uptown in the winter weather.

Awesome! Many fun post-softball evenings spent here. They sponsored our team, complete with the logo on the back of the little jerseys!
Thanks for posting that!
I love their sign! I may not be an old man but I think this would be a cool place to hang :)
Cool sign, but you know I'm a sucker for neon! The interior looks more American Diner than Irish Bar, but still a great place for a pint or two!
Cheery place! And so glad all letters are lit.
Ken...I have to say that I too am a neon freak, and would like to do a series of photographs of great signs. As usual, great shots!

Neon freaks unite. Thanks for the visit everyone!
NOw THAT is a cool looking joint! I am a sucker for neon, too... and that first shot is awesome.
Outside it looks great but I miss the "smell" of the good old Irish Beer Pub on the inside!!
I always love to drink in bars.....It seems that you must have enjoyed your drinks...thanks for your beautiful words on my blog......
Happy Thanksgiving :)
Cool photos! Love the neon! Happy Thanksgiving, Ken Mac! Sending happy holiday wishes your way!
What a great find! You've captured it well.
I love the tile floor & the cozy booths.
Neon freaks unite> You crack me up. the inside is straight out of lileks.com don't you think? "Old men" bar. Sounds like somewhere I need to go to pick up guys! ( I didn't mean that!)

love this. old man bars always have tons of character!
Hey! That's my 'hood!!! I've never been but I've always wondered how it looked like inside. I would never, in a million years, have pictured it that way. Somehow I had a glamorized image in my little head of dark place, sort of a whiskey bar atmosphere with a jazz pianist, hidden in a cloud of cigar smoke.
hey! ya beat me to it. love that place. beautiful shots.
