Still a fully active train station, the Lackwanna Line borders the Hudson but is no longer used as a port. On The Waterfront was filmed steps away from here, when Hoboken (and NYC) was a thriving seaport.
Oh good, I'm the first to say how wonderful these shots are. I tried to pick my favorite, but I"ve enjoyed them all. The doors might win though. Like the signage over the door and the open one where we get a glimpse of what's inside. The peeling ceiling in the last shot makes me sad. V
PS Makes me wish I had a terminal to photograph here but some buffoons tore ours down years ago. Sigh... Not to worry, I'm going to visit two in Paris!!!

Beautiful station!
Virginia, I hope one of them is the Musee d'Orsay. Have fun. It's such a beautiful city.
Architecture and colours are just fantastic! Great shots too.
love your perspective on these shots. The details are incredible & I love the doors too.
It's a beautiful building, specially its front side. I thin we must be proud about this construction. I am so happy for its restorations.
