Drag me to Hell

These ads are all over town. Am I the only one bothered by the graphic imagery and menace portrayed here? Like the Louvin Brothers sang, "Satan is real."

I was all "Tcha! Forget it!" Until I saw that charred hand. Ugh.

Love NYC! It'll be awhile before it gets here, I bet. Ha!

It is the kind of movie that I will never see. I can easily ignore ads like that.

However it was a major sponsor of the MTV's presentation of the original Star Wars trilogy this past Monday. My 9 year old son "needed" to watch it on TV (Don't get me started, we own the VHS and DVD) before and after picnics.

HE WAS UP ALL NIGHT. The TV adds gave him nightmares.

You are not the only one bothered.

Ken Mac--some update on Admiral's Row--they are keeping 2 buildings and destroying the rest to make way for a supermarket--see today's Gothamist--ugh!

As Pat Benatar said, Hell is for children.

And, uh, yes — these ads are stupid.

Like Persephone?

It's a very strong and disturbing image, but all it probably serves and contributes to is the overall coarsening of sensibility in our society.

Digusting and the sad thing is people will actually pay good money to see it.

I hate these ads too! Isn't there enough suffering and misery in life without making movies about it? I don't know why some feel this genre of movie is entertaining.
