Believe it or not, the Greyhound station in Jackson, Mississippi, still stands. It's now the Robert Parker Adams architect firm. Look at my other blog, Curly Gee's Pix. Scroll down a ways to see the neon sign at night, right after the Cherokee Drive Inn pix. Also, if you go to Flickr and search for Greyhound Jackson Mississippi, you'll get all sorts of photos. Mine are not there because back in the day I didn't know about Flickr.
This was one of many streamline moderne Greyhound stations built in the 1930s. This one was designed by George D. Brown. It's now the office of a plastic surgeon. More information at agilitynut's Roadside Architecture.
This is the right blog for anyone who wants to find out about this topic. You realize so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I actually would want…HaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Great stuff, just great!

Art deco I guess! It looks like a actual bus.
Love Art Deco style!
Nope, that would be the downtown Birmingham Greyhound station. Hasn't changed one bit, sadly.

Interesting stuff from David C. I haven't seen an actual greyhound bus in years.
I wonder how many bus stations remain.
Me again - snow ...
Hey Ken Mac, when were you in my town? Sadly, this wonderful building now houses plastic surgeons.
Beautiful.
