We have the same thing here but it's called White Castle. We use to get a bag of the little burgers at night when I worked 3rd shift. Can't imagine eating them today at night....it's all about the good grease and onions.
Something refreshing about the simple language here "a treat to eat" "excellent coffee" normal people language as opposed to slick marketing. Trip down memory lane..
I used to go to this Blue Castle, in the early 70's. It was on Harrison Ave. On border of Kearny and Harrison NJ. The burgers may have been small like white castle but really did not taste anything alike. Thank you so much for posting this picture.

We had something similar in Jackson, Mississippi--the Crystal. For me, it was an acquired taste. I never got there.
Do you think they sold ice cubes, too?
