The hotel where the Titantic survivors were housed before departing to parts unknown.... on the Hudson. A flophouse four years ago now high end luxury living..
So it's not a five-story walk-up? The exterior looks elegant, classy, urban. But I can't imagine the interior being modernized--airy, bright, spacious--enough to suit the gentry.
About 25 years ago I checked that place out to see if it might be an OK place for some of my (adult) students to spend a night while waiting for more permanent things to work out. They took me to the room that was next to a dead body.

Interesting to think about living in such an historic structure.
