East of West L.A. (sort of)

More like East Village, NYC. One for Kevin, the master of darkness, of quiet scenes and a thoughtful repose.

Wow - what a nice surprise after such a not so great day. I had no idea you were doing this; I just come to your site virtually every day to see your pictures.

Thank you, Ken.

Great picture. That does remind me of East of West LA. I really need to start trying some night shots.

An appropriate homage.

It's got a definite Spanish look about it.

East coast meets west coast. I'd love to be there when you two actually meet. Oh I know, you'd drag me down dark alleys and into some pretty fine diners!

A really nice tribute to our -K- ! Bravo.

Your photos show us just how diverse and complex the Village is. From stunning sunsets to signs and places. It is a City within a city!

The light is perfect!

I thought I had stumbled on the wrong K.

You're definitely east of west.

Great photo and much nicer homage. I check both blogs daily and I enjoy the richness of images and concepts I always find.

Fantastic job, Ken. I'd have thought it even if you hadn't said it.

Your night shots have a lot of feeling to them. This looks like something I've seen in Tucson.

Awww I just had to come back for another look. You two are kindred spirits you know. NICE! :)

Lovely. I always worry, though, how long a single-story structure like this will continue to exist in the condo-happy EV.

ha-ha. very clever! great photo too. not quite as moody east-of-w-LA as west-of-east-LA.

I love this photo and I know where this is - what always amused me is that the doors seem to buckle outward - like there's so much spirit inside the building they can barely contain it.
