Williamsburg, Brooklyn 2008

Once a sleepy neighborhood across from Manahattan where you could buy auto parts, tubes (for my stereo), and industrial junk, Williamsburg is now the domain of the Hipster, those who slurp in overpriced coffee "bars" then go shopping at the myriad consumer retail outlets that now fill Williamsburg. The Mobil station is long gone and the yellow board siding is covered in blue glass...

I've always loved the city and its contrasts, particularly decadent party so well used to record movies.
Nice stage.
Greetings.

Hipster Domain! Like the old Mobil sign -- gives a bit of history to contrast with the yellow pop art structure. -- barbara

Foggy Mountain Breakdown? From CBS news: "Nearly 100 vehicles crashed Sunday along a mountainous, foggy stretch of interstate 77 near the Virginia-North Carolina border." Kinda spooky--I usually use that highway to go south. And weren't you just down there?
