Meatpacking Girl, 2008

The Meatpacking district on the Village's west side was once home to butchers by day and prostitutes by night, then as gentrification rolled in, rebellion in the form of street art and graffiti appeared. It's all pretty clean today, and totally boring.

Great capture.. I am trying to figure out the reverse words.. GRASS, BEEF! etc. The Love thy Neighbor sticker is funny.

You preserved some of the grit and grime very nicely. I've never been to the Meatpacking district.

Very . . . colorful.

She scares me. Maybe it's her name, but I'm pretty sure she could beat me up.

How exciting... you captured both businesses in this shot. I wondered which was the more lucrative business? I bet, at times, they might have been hard to distinguish from one another.
