I hate to be pessimistic, but I have a strong feeling they'll open back up again.

Death and Taxes... is the other door the gateway to the underworld? I really like this one. The contrast is strong.

Ken Mac,
I like so much to know your city through your eyes!

Wouldn't exactly inspire confidence were I in the market for a CPA.

Is that what is called a tax-cut? :-)

I like Marilyn peering down. Did you notice the building number when you took the picture? Very ominous.

Neat old building. Was it being painted?

Beautiful ironwork doors! But the sign is scary.

The missing "M" drawn in what looks like crayon worries me.

I love the shadows in this, and all of the many details, lines, and shapes. The ironwork is fantastic, and the mysterious curved cowcatchers that draw you into the larger portal. The smaller door with its own ironwork and faux arch is intriguing - and same number above both doors.
