great sign...my dad was a shoe repairman..such a dying breed. there are many in nyc however as people walk there so much and I guess like to have their shoes fixed if they are comfy. thanx for the photo!!

My grandfather used to be a shoe repair man in Long Island City. I remember going to his shop and just watching him work with all of his machinery. I remember all of the different smells from the glues to the polishes. Ah, good times.
