simon's hardware, greenpoint

In business since the 50s, Simon mostly sits outside his shop these days, trying to sell the place to anyone interested. A charming fellow who drives an easy bargain.

Love the shot with Simon right there. I'll bet that place is fun to poke around in!

My trips for hardware are few and far between, but I'd go there for a furnace filter. He'd have to help me find it.

Fifty years of hard work and no one wants the business now. How sad is it that service businesses like this are going the way of the dinosaur.
