Homestead Gourmet Shop. Kew Gardens, Queens. Old school German deli with an ancient coffee grinder, sausages, pickles, chocolate, and counter-persons dressed like nurses.  

Though most of NYC  has been decimated by gentrification, the powers that be can't raze our municipal buildings. The WPA did beautiful work post WW2. The PTB would destroy every grand municipal structure if they could. Let's make a deal!
