Goodbye Frankie & Johnnie

 A former speakeasy in the theater district, Frankie & Johnnie steakhouse was quintessential old school New York. The walls were covered in the publicity photos of the many stars who dined their through the years. Jack Klugman, Tony Randall, Alan King, Nanette Fabray, and many, many more. As the tourists walk by the old spot on their way to a show or MacDonalds or Olive Garden, another little piece of genuine NYC history is dead.

Glass brick, Red Hook

 A small town close to Manhattan, the edge of Brooklyn, Red Hook is largely frozen in time. Untouched by gentrification due to its lack of subway, a seaport community that was battered by Sandy, Red Hook still shows many signs of its maritime roots.
