Aged buildings certainly have character if left to their own devices -- very nice shot -- barbara

The color reminds me of the Southwest. Hard to imagine it as a NY condo. And yes, the shadows add a lot.

Ken Mac, the light on this photo is grand, absolutely grand. I am happy to read that the building still exists.

About the fellow in my post a few minutes ago, he's my younger son. For his 35th birthday on Halloween, his brother, girlfriend and I gave him a mirrorless camera, an Olympus E-PM2, which was exactly what he wanted. But, being intrigued with photography and the equipment out there, since then he bought himself an attachment viewer (I know that's not the real term) and a macro lens. For Christmas I got him a lens that eliminates the lens it came with and the need for a zoom--I cannot remember the numbers. Anyway, we've had a lot of fun off and on since Halloween going out walking and taking photos. This was our first time to go to a specific site--we had a blast. Now I'm lucky enough to have two sons--the older one doesn't take photos (yet, ha, ha), so the two of us are planning some walks based on a couple of great Portland walks' books that I own. Naturally, I'll be taking photos. Sorry to go on and on, but I also feel compelled to tell you that Leland is a Type A personality, intense as they come. Taking photos of whatever hollers his name means he's slowing down his entire self, noticing things around him. I believe in the long run, he'll be a much healthier guy because he's a photographer--that's not his job, just his hobby. Thanks for listening!

An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
