What a lovely old shot. And the greyhound already from aluminium. The other cars are also very nice and gives away the date. I should say just after WWII.Happy new year.
That's 34th and 9th, facing southeast. Some of those buildings are still there. The one on the right is still there, and the Hotel Pennsylvania, the large building in the left background, as well as the hotel next to it, are both still there. Sadly, that's Penn Station, right there on 33rd street in the middle of the shot.

I absolutely love old photos of cities in the rain. John Vachon has a few that I want to walk right into. This is lovely.
Fantastic photo -- looks like the 40s.
Vintage! Happy new year!
Happy New Year in The Good Old Days :-)

6th Ave and 23rd?
Or 27th-ish and Second?
Meet me at the Greyhound station, then let's do lunch at The Fish Bowl.
A cold wet day in the Northeast. I remember them well.
Are any of those buildings still standing?
Regardless, it's a wonderfully fascinating document.
oh I love it, Ken!
what year is this from?!
Happy New Year, Ken.
I wish cars still looked like these. But then would I have to wear a wool suit and tie to go to town?
