In some ways I blame myself for his demise, why oh why could I not have been in New York City at that exact moment of impact and pushed him out of the way to safety. I will never look at myself killing a bug the same way again, and now I must be alone with my conscience. Now how was that for acting folks, maybe Broadway is in my future after all! Richard
Folks because of the guilt that I'm feeling regarding this poor bug in this post and feeling some responsibility , I'm placing myself on house arrest and will be spending days and nights on line looking for the person responsible for the invention of the fly swatter. Its the least that I can do and when I find this person I will be making a donation in his/her name to a local bug shelter, and then I'm packing my bags because the bright lights of Broadway are calling me.......... This is the Dragonfly's wife and I would like to thank Ken for trying to save my Leroy's life, and for taking that hot dog that you were eating at the moment he was hit by that car and turning that bun into a stretcher. You even tried mouth to mouth but my poor Leroy's head popped off, but I truly thank you for trying never the less. All I remember from the car that ran him over had something about an Amish Stories on the side of it, and if the bright lights of Broadway allow me I will find this one armed man one day! Yours truly the Mrs. Dragonfly Kimble
Folks an update on what I'm calling "the Dragonfly murder", it seems from my source within the New York police dept that black hair dye and 2 Chick-fil-A sandwich wrappers were found next to the victim. Police also think that the driver was a doctor because of a note found next to the Dragonfly that said" I am a doctor and I've just ran over this Dragonfly". One theory that police have is that the driver was somehow distracted from the bright lights of Broadway, or that he was blog hopping on his cell phone to shamelessly promote his blog that's about Amish culture, sadly we may never know! greetings again from a soggy North Wales x
I hope it was only stunned but that's just being naive. At any rate, interesting colors and markings despite the circumstances.
Beautiful in an alien sort of way...

I wonder if dragonflies feel pain. With some of its limbs missing I don't think it will survive.
Such beauty in nature -- excellent image -- barbara
