Plans are afoot to tear down the Civil War era Admiral's Row mansions, and replace them with a shopping mall (much needed in this depressed area. There goes the 'hood.
I hope that they can save and move this building because its historic, and a shopping mall is a dime a dozen. While an old building like this is not, they are always sorry after they destroy history like this after the fact! Richard

It's sad, but the pic is great. Thanks for sharing something about your city.

Truly there goes the neighborhood. What a beauty this structure is.
What a shame to break this down for a shopping mall. They have to treasure it.
Such a shame.
Oh, nooooooo. Wish someone would step forward and save them.
Part of the area should be saved as a national monument, to protect its history.
truly "future ruins today."

How sad!!!
This is a beautiful old house. In that light it almost looks like a rainbow. Hope they'll be able to save it!
Very sad...
Love this house!
Interesting house with the vines, but somethings are necessary to clean up the 'hood
