Charles Street

From blogger TM: This is actually Charles Lane, not Charles St. This path is a remnant of the Newgate Prison which stood here and south to Christopher St in the 1700s. The lane was repaved with stones from the prison after it was taken down, making them some of the oldest cobblestones in the city.

Breathtaking. Magic Hour is a beautiful thing. Good job.

Interesting point of view.
I thought that in New York no longer has cobbled streets ;-)

Those bricks always make me think of Henry James or Edith Wharton. What a gorgeous capture!

And hey, look who is grabbing a bit of Cali-worthy light!

Fantastic--perspective (wide angle?), light, texture, interplay of warm and cool.

If you're like me, this is sunset and not sunrise.

Hard to believe there are still remnants this old in NYC. Thanks to both you and TM.

Is this NYC? From the text and photo I would have guessed London. However - the way you have caught the sun was impressing.
