As safe as modern New York is, danger lurks at the edges. I took this pic of a crackhead on the adjacent roof from my seventh floor window. I called the police and then watched them haul him away about 15 minutes later. New York's finest at work!
This is real eye opener to me. Think this is the best social docu. photography I have seen in a long time. What daily photos are all about, not just the pretty side of life. Back on the street though, what a life.

Wow, Thanks Babooshka. And I totally agree with your comment. I sometimes feel that some of my pics are a little too graphic or something, as the blogs with pretty pics get all the traffic. But we should be covering real life, not just crafty shots and cool angles. Thanks!

That can't be much of a life. So what will happen to this guy now, prison or a fine?
to be honest, they will probably just let him back out on the street, to score again....

Sigh. Here in Manila, the cops are probably the biggest suppliers of crack (shabu to us). =(
shabu? that sounds scarier than crack!
I read your comment on the Larchmont DP and I came to see your pic which is wonderful. But why did you call the cops ??
