I agree with you, Ken Mac, this building is very beautiful!
Thanks for your congratulation and nice words to my daughter. We both appreciate so much your comment. And Flora sends thanks to you waving her tail. Lol!
Nice shot I love old buildings. I enjoy the detail, we dont seem to get detailing any more. In the old days even stuff that was to remain unseen was built with a passion Now its not cared about.
They sure don't make them like that anymore. It sort of reminds me of the building on Chestnut and 7th in Philadelphia. I think this one is taller and thinner though.
Living in Boston I have seen my share of "urban renewal". Some buildings that we just took for granted are sorely missed when they are gone. To quote Joni Mitchell: "you don't know what you've got till its one, they've paved paradise and put up a parking lot". Thanks Ken for helping use remember before everything is gone.
Get thee back to my blog and go down a day or two. You missed your tribute Buster.
ReplyDeleteThe Cheyenne is here in town. I don't think anything's been done. I got an odd email about it.

What a neat shape. These 'old, established firms' put a lot of our newer constructions to shame!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love this building and this shot. Hope it stays safe from the long arm of the developers.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely building! Nice shot as well, the sky has a sort fo dramatic look to it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot Ken! What time of day was this?

ReplyDeleteThey don't build them like they used to. Love the way you photographed it!

What a great perspective you got in your shot! Super building.
ReplyDeleteLonely and neglected, but really interesting architecture.
ReplyDeleteExcellent shot!
Imagining all the human drama thats played out behind those windows.
ReplyDeleteThis building has a true presence to it. Its like a senior citizen that deserves respect just for its age alone.
ReplyDeletea great shot...good perspective...like it

It looked a bit lonely and out of place. Do houses have feelings? :-)
ReplyDeleteCurious as to why this narrow tall building is alone in the sky.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great building indeed.
ReplyDeleteI would love to live in a building like this. The old ones have such rich character in them.
ReplyDeletekind of a bleak view. I like it!
