Closed! De Robertis Pastry Shoppe

A tragic loss to the East Village, De Robertis didn't close due to a rent hike or greedy developers. No, the owner is retiring and the kids aren't bakers. Photographed by the great James and Karla Murray. http://jamesandkarlamurray.blogspot.com/

  2. Very sad day. Really gratefulI had a chance to say goodbye.

Loved those signs about doing Italian Weddings where they offered huge numbers of pastries. "Feeds 500" as opposed to the usual: "Serves 500". "Feeds". I loved that.
