43 MacDougal Street

The biggest eyesore on the block, 43 MacDougal Street (next door to famed rocker Patti Smith) has been abaondoned for years. Water runs in from the open roof, rats have full control of the structure, and the owners are MIA. But  a close look reveals 43's former beauty.

  7. I have a soft spot in my heart for decay, if teeth aren't involved. There's something lovely in the wearing down and away.

  8. I'm having a flashback to my Lyric Theatre shots. That old lead paint can sure curl up and die can't it!!!!! These are wonderful studies in the dying process.
