New Yorkers Dining Down?

Eisenberg's Sandwich is one of Manhattan's longest running lunch counters. It's the kind of place where the short order cook will gladly pile your plate high with pastrami, when all you wanted was a turkey club! The two little girls in the window sure look happy so what's this talk about "dining down"?     Opened for business the year the stock market crashed. I'd say the Eisenbergs know a thing or two about surviving in business.

    This looks like the sort of place our family would love to visit! Those little girls do look happy. I enlarged the photo as you suggested....there's a great self-portrait of you in the reflection of the glass!
