The staircase is grand. Sad to see this historic building in such a mess. Worse to learn it will become a supermarket and parking lot. (shudder) a super walmart?!
These photos are wonderful and so, so sad at the same time. What a loss for the neighborhood, allowing the ruin to set in and the demolition to happen. Surely there's already a parking lot that can be remodeled to hold a grocery store, too! The short-sightedness of bureaucracy is maddening!
