Facing Eternity

During my recent battle and triumph over illness, I vacillated between two opposing poles: the face of uncertainty as expressed in Keir Dullea's character in Stanley Kubrick's 2001 A Space Odyssey, and the happy hot air balloon panda head below. Mr Panda Head won out. Who do you favor?

Thanks for the visit, KM. Hope you're feeling sprightly in both mind and body.

The downside to being away from home this long is not being able to keep up with my blog friends as I should. I regret I did not know about your illness but am so very thankful for your good prognosis. My prayers are late but nonetheless heartfelt. God bless my friend. Keep in touch.

The happy Panda! By the way I took the picture inside of Eastern State Peniteniary in Philadelphia. The door leads to one of the corner watchtowers.

Of course the Panda.. .problem is as you know better than most he isnt real... reality is more the face of uncertainty... work through that and the Panda comes! There is something great about the Panda!

Because my obsession with the move and selling my house, I missed the whole thing - but I am grateful that you are doing well now and that the surgery was successful. It does someone give a lot to think about, doesn't it?

Both are manifestations of the same reality. The choice is simple to make unless one is forced into the position of having to choose.
