Greenwich Village Doors, part 2

I have this thing about doorways. I'm inspired by a book I once saw in London called, you guessed it, London Doorways. Simple enough idea, but the Village has doorways (and buildings attached) dating from the 1870s and they are beautiful - even with the graffiti!

  1. OH I love doorways too. One of the many things I loved about Paris were the fabulous , wonderful, intricate, and worn doorways. I promise to bring you some photos from my visit this Nov. Yours are quite lovely (except for the grafitti one. I am a scrooge about grafitti) . What a great idea to do a grouping.

  7. I love doorways! More, more! ;)

Love the ornateness of the first. And omg! about the art deco one. I only see the style in my graphic design books and it's amazing how that doorway looks exactly like the illustrations!

You asked me once that maybe I could post Manila doorways too — maybe not doorways but gates. Except for commercial buildings, almost every piece of property in Manila is surrounded by high perimeter walls.
